Whale Watching!

Today we went to Newport Beach to go whale watching with our friends Brian and Stephanie from Illinois

They really did have a good time... just not when I was trying to take a picture of them!

Finally a good one... even if the smiles are "cheesy"

2 of the 4 blue whales we saw today!

These whales were about 70 ft long!

Just a neat photo.

They came right up to our boat.

This is probably my favorite photo of the whales, there are two of them, looks like a mommy and a baby one side by side.

Here's a good one of 3 of them together playing around.

Then came about 200 dolphins to join our little party.

Cutie pa tootie pie LOVED her first time on a boat.  When the dolphins were swimming along side the boat, she was jumping up and down saying, "fish fish fish" 

Final sighting were of these sea lions just relaxing on the buoy.

He says, "peace out... see ya later!"


We had a BLAST!  And Emma did so great.  It was a long day for her... she was too excited to take either of her naps today and she didn't even throw a temper tantrum.  But she was asleep in the car before we left the parking lot!
