BIG exciting news for today:
I just got off the phone with the Vice President of Development and Fundraising from the Lupus Foundation of America in Washington DC. She asked me to join the National Development Committee for the 2011-2012 year!!!! HOW AWESOME IS THIS?!?!?! Immediately said OF COURSE!!! I have been looking for ways to become more involved in this organization and the opportunity has presented itself. So grateful and excited!
In other news:
Emma and I have been attending Mommy & Me classes. My child is a social butterfly! Here I was worried that her being an only child would make her shy around other kids. NOT TRUE. Even though these other kids are close to 3 years old, my 18 month old gets right in there and plays right along. Her vocabulary, though it's not at a 3 year olds level, is advanced enough that she can communicate with them and have a ton of fun. Mommy is working on her attitude at these functions... heheheheh She definitely enjoys this time more than I do! =)
I've been a sewing fool lately. Here are a few of my latest creations:
Bean bag for my friend Megan's little boy Jack, who LOVES airplanes!
Matching pillow to go with it
Block 4 in the Civil War tribute sampler quilt
This one is called Texas Tears
Pittsburg Steelers quilt for my cousin Dan!
Green Bay Packers quilt is in the works for my husband!
Should be an exciting Super Bowl Weekend!!!
Go Pack Go!
And Emma has got some sort of cold, so we are just taking it easy. Laying around on the couch and watching Despicable Me... over and over and over again.

We just got the movie despicable me also. Boys have watched a couple of times which has allowed me to be quilting.
