A short recap of Saturday's walk:
What an absolutely wonderful day!
To have the support of all of you, members of TEAM KNAUP nation wide, plus my friends Lea and Renee flying out and my Mom, Aunt Mary, and brother Wes who DROVE out here from IL, and of course my amazing husband of 6 years and awesome little girl, this was the greatest day EVER!
I met SO many new friends.
The lupus community bonds so quickly and so intensely. People were coming up to me and giving me big hugs because they'd either seen my name on the WALK page, watched my video from Facebook, had heard my story from the Los Angeles walk director, had heard about me and my involvement in the LFA's National Development Committee from the Vice President of the LFA or had just heard about me on FACEBOOK!

I felt like a celebrity!
The VP was constantly dragging me around to introduce me to I think every person there. I can't even count how many people's hands I shook or how many wonderful supportive hugs I received!
I got to hug the wonderful women of Club Mo - Felicia Day and Maurissa Whedon. And thank them for making such generous donations Friday night, just so I could stay in the lead! ♥
I met the LA Lupus Lady, Amanda Greene.
I got to meet Randall Winston, the producer of the hit series, SCRUBS! He's also a National Board Member with the LFA!... and REALLY TALL!
AND I not only MET Eduardo Xol (Extreme Makeover Home Edition), but had my picture taken with him several times through out the morning.
He said he was very impressed with how much money our team raised and was excited for me being named the TOP Individual Fundraiser for the Los Angeles Walk!
Plus the guy from Mythbusters was at the tent RIGHT NEXT TO OURs!!!
