I set up a little Learning Board in her play room. We've been working on it all week. She colored the pages and put them on the board. Now every morning she goes over to the board to see her work. So cute.
I used the idea from this website called Brightly Beaming
She already knows her letters, an animal that starts with each letter, her numbers 1- 20, her shapes and colors. So we are going back over these and learning more about them. And getting her used to holding crayons and maybe even working on writing some letters and numbers.
She loves playing with play-doh and making different shapes out of it.
She also likes painting - A LOT!
And by golly I think we're finally getting the hang of this whole potty training thing!
Cracks me up that she sits on the potty and crosses her legs!
But she's doing very well (knock on wood). I don't want to toot our horn too loudly just yet. ♥
She likes watching the movie UP.
So much so that the other when she wanted to play in the back yard she wouldn't go with out the following:
her goggles (sunglasses)
a cane (a plastic golf club)
a piece of chocolate (a Hershey kiss)
So I agreed, then she spent the next 20 minutes walking around the backyard calling for a rare bird named "Kevin"
My little explorer...
"Adventure is out there!"
Usually after dinner we go for a walk around the neighborhood. Here lately she's been wanting to take her baby in the purple stroller.
She walked almost 1/2 a mile last night and pushed it the whole way. Never complained. Saying Hi to all our neighbors.
With Brian being back in school, she gets to spend her morning with him and right before she goes to bed. The other night he told her to go pick out a book for him to read to her for bedtime.
So she ran out of her room, ran up the stairs to where Brian's office is and grabbed a book off of HIS school bookshelf!
That's right, she pulled a book from when he was getting his MBA a few years back and wanted to read Managerial Accounting.
Oh this kid cracks us up!
That's about it from our neck of the woods. Hope you all are enjoying 2012!

Happy Thursday Beverly. Looks like you got things completely under control there.
