FACT of the DAY:
Lupus is an unpredictable and complex autoimmune disease that causes inflammation and can damage any organ in the body with life-threatening consequences.
I have been battling this disease for a little over 5 years now. I consider myself one of the lucky ones.
For several reasons, but mostly because:
- quickly diagnosed
- great rheumatologist with years of experience
- never been hospitalized
- blessed with a beautiful daughter and one on the way
- the BEST support system a survivor could ask for!
