I think I'm addicted to taking photos...

Hi, my name is Beverly and I am addicted to taking photos... and Pinterest.
♥♥♥

Is this not the sweetest thing?

This one is definitely a 2nd runner up.
(Brooklyn's face cracks me up!)

Here are the outtakes to this pose...

I think Brooklyn is trying to tell Emma she's in her personal space.

YEP, definitely getting a little too close for Brooklyn's comfort zone!
bahwhahahaha

Ok, ok, Brooklyn says, maybe you're not so bad...

NOPE, you definitely are invading my personal space!

hehehehehehh

I love that Emma is holding Brooklyn's hand in this one.
♥♥♥

Most of the time I get this serious face staring back at me...

but occasionally

I get a cute little grin out of this precious one!

POPSICLE STICK PUZZLES
(saw idea on Pinterest, found instructions HERE)

what you need:
popsicle sticks
mod podge
cute photos

I shamelessly stole these photos from Google.
=D

But look how cute they turned out!

I love her big "ta-da" finishes!

I put them each in their own ziplock baggie to keep the pieces separate.  These were a BIG hit at church Saturday night when Emma was getting tired of just sitting there.

Here's a small interview with Emma about where God and Jesus live.

MONEY STICKS
(saw idea on Pinterest, adapted it slightly from this blog's instructions

What you need:
popsicle sticks
2 of each coin
2 of each color paint cards
double sided tape

She loves this one because of the money...
oh how this child loves counting money!

Basically we just play match'em up.

I ask her which coin is worth 1 cent and she'll grab the one card and the penny stick.

Simple.
But effective.

She's so great at trying new games that I find for her.
Such a eager student.
LOVE IT.

AIRPLANES!
(you had to see this one coming ♥, great tutorial here)

what you need:
popsicle sticks
clothes pins
paint
glue
What a neat little craft to make out of popsicle sticks and clothes pins.

And since we already had the paint out...
Why not make some canvas wall art for her bedroom???

Some blue painter's tape
8x10 piece of canvas
Some paint and sponge brush

And you get a neat little painting!

She was pretty proud of herself!

Look at those BLUE eyes!
wowsers

Then I gave her a blank canvas and had her paint whatever she wanted.

She did the flower part and I helped her with the stem and leaves.
♥♥♥

I had a few more pieces of canvas left so I thought I'd try to recreate some thing I saw on Pinterest!  I changed the wording, but the idea is the same.

Brian and I painted our hands black and placed one on each canvas, then I painted Emma's hand red

Trying to get a 3 year old to not wiggle her fingers and just go straight up and down on the canvas is not as easy as you might think!  We even practiced on the paper first! bawhahhwa

But I'd say we did pretty good!

She loved putting the paint ON her hands.

I found these sayings and thought they fit *us* more so than the ones I saw in the example on Pinterest.

I LOVE how they turned out.  We signed the backs and hung them on her bedroom wall.
So sweet.

She has been so good for me while Brian is traveling and she's been very good at preschool that I thought I'd treat her to going out to dinner.

Her favorite place is this local restaurant that puts popcorn out as an appetizer instead of chips.

This girl LOVES her some popcorn!

Emma has a question for you:
"You want to hear me sing Mary had a Little Lamb?"

Ok, here it is:

Well, that should about do it for this week.

From all of us here on the big comfy chair (and behind the camera)
Have a great week!
