On Tuesday, Brooklyn turned 2 months old.
She is smiling more and more every day!
♥♥♥
As we were waiting to go to her doctor's appointment, I was telling her that she was going to get some immunization shots.
She said, "Whhhhhaaaat!? How many?"
I said, "FOUR."
She was speechless.
She did GREAT! Didn't cry at all for the first 3, then when the last one went in, she let loose a pretty good scream.
But as soon as I picked her up, she quieted down.
Such a brave little girl!
Here are her measurements:
BIRTH
Weight: 5 lbs 9 oz
Length: 18.75 in
1 MONTH
Weight: 7 lbs 4 oz
Length: 20 in
2 MONTHS
Weight: 10 lbs (50th percentile)
Length: 20.5 in (5th percentile)
Doc said she's doing great!
I remember Emma wearing that same outfit and found this comparison to be quite remarkable.
Uhmmmm, YES, definitely a strong resemblance.
She was pretty tuckered out after all those shots...
I think Daddy was too.

CRAFT TIME
FABRIC BOX:
Not really sure where I got this idea. All I know is Emma loves repetitive activities and this is GREAT.
Materials:
empty Kleenex box
scrap fabric
I decorated the Kleenex box with more scrap materials.
Then tied the strips of fabric end-to-end and shoved it in the Kleenex box.
Told Emma to start pulling...
I don't know why this is so fun to her...
But she loves it. Then she shoves it back into the Kleenex box and does it all over again.
MARBLES IN A BOTTLE:
What to do with all those empty prescription bottles I have???
Make another activity for Emma of course!
Materials:
empty pill bottle
bag of marbles
Again with the repetitive activity.
She spent almost 45 minutes doing this!
MARBLE PAINTING:
Got this idea a while back from my cousin Lori.
Materials:
empty box
paint
marbles
paper
Squirt a little bit of paint and add marbles
Let your child rock the box back and forth
Beautiful abstract art!
HAND PRINT TURKEY
I saw several ideas on the internet for this one... I'm sorry I don't have a link.
Materials:
paint
construction paper
pipe cleaners
googly eyes
fabric scraps
I didn't get any action shots of this one. I was terrified she was going to get her painted hands on everything BUT the paper!
Oh isn't that just the cutest?

MY CRAFTINESS
I've been slowly decorating our house.
Here are some things I've managed to complete.
Saw this on Pinterest.
Brian is from WI and I'm from IL. The actual cutouts are from old maps we found in the car. And they are centered over our hometowns. After college, we were stationed out here in CA and have lived here ever since. Such a neat way to remember where you came from.
String Art!
Great tutorial HERE
I LOVE LOVE LOVE how this turned out!
I think it goes perfectly in my sewing room.
Canvas Art
Great tutorial HERE
And since I had some leftover paint cards from a previous project with Emma, I made a *Cathedral Window* quilt pattern onto an 8x10 piece of canvas
I haven't hung it up yet, but it will also be going in my sewing room.

I shall leave you with my little musician singing "Itsy Bitsy Spider" and playing her guitar. ♥
Have a great week!
